Leading and participating in identification of and development, implementation, and validation of DC-DC Power solutions used in Server platforms and other applications.
Identifying suitable topology, technologies, detailed design analysis, development, qualification, and documenting results as well as ensuring all of the relevant function teams are in lined.
Working with the cross-functional teams, suppliers and ODMs to ensure designs meet Dell requirements for; functionality, cost, Dell internal design guidelines, reliability, regulatory compliance, and industry standards compliance.
Providing power technical support to platform and Marketing teams to insure solutions meet all performance and cost expectations and validate any assigned work with internal team and / or ODMs.
Accomplished by performing all required analysis, simulation and testing required to validate the designs and power application in system.
Attend and actively participate in design reviews with ODMs and suppliers to ensure consistency in related design across all products.
Drive test plan development and support test plan improvement in all areas for designs.
Ensure issues are driven to closure through effective root cause analysis processes by collaborating with cross function teams.
Work with suppliers to steer product roadmaps to meet Dell requirements and evaluate technology opportunities for future leadership opportunity in efficiency and cost saving.
BSEE with 6+ years of AC / DC power supply and / or DCDC converter / Voltage regulator and related analog circuitry design experience.
Digital design with FW code development experience will be a plus)
Candidate need to be self-motivated, team work, good capability and skill on issue investigation and project management.
Demonstrate a high degree of ownership and leadership to deal with existing assumption and ambiguity in a global assignment.
Display strong working knowledge in the following areas; good communication skill that can be very comfortable to use English to communicate with multiple parties and outlined the detail for power related works;
also, Components application, thermal modeling, magnetic design, circuitry analysis, digital design and power converter architecture and advanced modeling of power subsystems.
Must have spirit of team work, self-starter, flexible and good attitude on taking challenges and have good understanding of existing and future technology opportunities in either AC-DC and DC-DC fields.
