In this role, you will work with talented engineers from multiple disciplines to design and develop perception AI-based edge devices through all phases of their product development cycles.

BS, MS or PhD degree in mechanical engineering
Experience in mechanical and thermal architecture related to electronics packaging design
Experiencing using ProEngineer or other 3D CAD software in a mechanical design discipline
Experience designing sheet metal and plastic parts and the associated production tooling and manufacturing processes
Experience using CFD and thermal mockups to validate thermal solutions
Experience in selecting and employing processes, materials, and finishes to achieve the desired Industrial Design that meets functionality, durability and manufacturing requirements
Understanding of microprocessor architecture, System on Chip and thermal profiles
Knowledge of high-level product architecture and mechanical layout
Knowledge of detailed component design
Knowledge of SolidWorks / ProE 3D modeling, assembly management and 2D drafting
Knowledge of quality assessment tools such as DFMEA, DFMA, PSS and Tolerance analysis
A minimum of 7 years' experience using CAD tools such as PTC Creo and PTC Windchill for CAD data file management
A minimum of 7 years’ experience in mechanical design and development of high volume commercial and / or consumer electronics products
Deep understanding of plastic, tooling, injection molding, assembly processes, cosmetic finishes, and defect analysis
Good understanding of metal punch tool structure and design
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
Advanced aptitude for creating, interpreting and understanding mechanical drawing specifications
Advanced knowledge and understanding of manufacturing-driven design issues and constraints
Advanced ability to read and understand complex drawings as well as 3D databases
Nice to have
Familiarity with IoT, Connectivity and Sensor based devices design (Camera, MIC, etc.) is a big plus
Although this position is predominantly centered around hardware design, it would be an advantage to have some embedded software engineering skills
Experience in creating microphone, computer (including MCU based devices), camera, cell phone and related commercial / consumer electronics products
