Job Description

As a NPI Engineer you will be primarily responsible for starting up, developing and optimizing processes to improve product quality and reliability, working on process yield improvement, cost reduction, productivity improvement and risk management as well as resolving manufacturing line problems.

You will also be required to identify, diagnose and resolve assembly process related problems by applying failure analysis, FMEA, 8D or SPC methodology.

Additional responsibilities include co-ordinating and carrying out process, equipment and material evaluation / optimization to implement changes at process step, leading and participating in yield improvement and cost reduction activities, handling new process baseline qualifications and managing, auditing and liaising with material suppliers to achieve quality, cost and risk management objectives.


  • Drive New Product Introduction (NPI) based off global NPI business process through tier 1 Qualification
  • Own Documentation and schedules according milestone review definition
  • Work with PE / PE planing to align ES / QS (include corner) sample request and drive internal site coordination to align schedules
  • Collaborate with Assembly and Test on Advance Package Qualification tracking
  • Provide leadership in problem analysis and resolution of issues encountered during qualification
  • Yield tracking and forecasting for new Product NPIs.
  • wafer probe out and die out tracking and forecasting for new Product NPIs.
  • Be the Point Of Contact pertaining to all aspects of assigned products / packages,
  • Develop strategies to drive continuous Product & System improvement.
