At Cadence, we hire and develop leaders and innovators who want to make an impact on the world of technology.
This opportunity is for a Customer-facing Product Engineer. You will be part of a highly efficient and independently-minded team of engineering professionals focused on our top customer’s success.
Strict deadlines, systematic debug, educated decision making, and crystal clear communication are more than mantras, but a way of life.
We continually move the needle, constantly re-assessing our progress with a clear end game in mind.
For this role, you are a tech-saavy front-end engineer, an expert in DFT, ATPG and diagnostics. You will represent R&D in front of customers, and represent customers in front of R&D.
To that end, you will engage demanding customers in proliferating our products, bridging the gap between field activities and R&D.
You will run benchmarks, extracting the most out of the tools to meet customer requirements. You have a solid understanding and an established track record of DFT methodologies / flow (e.
g scan, test compression, MBIST, ATPG, IEEE 1149.1 / .6, IEEE 1500, IEEE 1687). You will regularly present our technology both internally and externally.
You will provide regular updates up and down the management chain, tuning the messaging and details appropriately. You can troubleshoot ambiguous problem statements, narrow down root causes, discover acceptable workarounds, and translate the issue for R&D to go fix.
Up to 20% travel to customers may be required.
Knowledge and experience with Cadence Genus DFT and Modus DFT Test Solution is a plus but is not required. Strong knowledge of ASIC and COT design flows is a must.
Some knowledge of the back end place and route flow is a plus. And you have strong scripting skills; comfortable with tcl, perl, and other scripting languages.
A bachelor’s degree in EE, CS, or a related field is required along with 8+ years of relevant experience.
We’re doing work that matters. Help us solve what others can’t.
