Product Marketing Senior Advisor Consumer Products

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develops marketing and communications plans and activities for specific product(s) or solution(s).
  • Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity and identifies customer needs.
  • Oversees the analysis and evaluation of key market statistics and customer requirements to define product / solution strategies and identify opportunities to expand market share.
  • Maintains current status of customer requirements for existing and future products / solutions.
  • Supports product / solution launch and provide sustaining efforts to enable quoting, validation, pricing, order entry, and fulfillment of products / solutions under management via internal sales tool and external web stores.
  • Develops content for internal and external audiences relaying product / solution strategies and value propositions, including customer presentations and sales training materials.
  • Works with demand, supply, and pricing teams to ensure accurate forecasting, lead-time estimating, and pricing for products / solutions under management.
  • Manages product / solutions launches to ensure sales force readiness and optimize P&L impact of product transitions.
  • Provides input into : item forecast & mix planning, category UPP and BU offer strategy.
  • Provides input into product transition playbooks (may also draft the playbooks)
  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop launch marketing and communication plans for consumer and small businesses notebooks.
  • Supports product launch and provide sustaining efforts to enable internal sales tool and external web stores.
  • Creates materials which drive worldwide product positioning, messaging and marketing materials to achieve maximum effectiveness and minimize regional duplication of effort.
  • Resolve issues and roadblocks to achieve business goals.
  • Provides inputs to product development team to support customer needs.
  • Provide input to product business plan, forecasts, risk factors, overall business plan, pricing analysis and recommendations.
  • Work effectively and independently in a matrixed environment, building strong working relationships with regional marketing teams to be able to drive product strategies and execution.
  • Analyze product performance results and make recommendations for continuous improvements.
  • ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • BA / BS degree and 8+ years of relevant experience; or 6+ years with Master’s degree.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and strong influencing skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrate leadership. Be able to develop own opinion and recommendation.
  • Proven experience in product marketing in a technology company.
  • Ability to articulate a vision and deliver effective presentations to senior executives and customers.

    The candidate will identify opportunities ranging from long term strategic to near term tactical in which they will work x-

    functionally to realize cost savings in the portfolio of products. We are looking for a candidate that is comfortable in dealing with ambiguity, can influence peers advocating on behalf of our customers, strong business acumen, and great relationship building skills.
