Magna Taiwan is currently seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a young, dynamic multi-project engineering team tasked with development of key ADAS related technologies for the global market.
Suitable candidates need to be highly motivated and able to successfully guide various product development cycles on time and on budget.

Primary responsibility for specific, core engineering development projects, reporting directly to our Global Director of Core Engineering.
Ensure that programs are structured with the right resources to succeed (people, tools, funding), whether through assignment of direct resources (inter-
company), or leveraging external resources.
Provide the team with clear leadership and management direction, including coaching and active engagement with the direct and extended teams.
Lead role in establishing annual budget requirements for Taiwan based development projects.
Track and report on engineering targets (BOM cost, project and department engineering budget, etc.) for all assigned projects.
Collaborate with global engineering team to establish product architectures which are highly competitive from a feature and cost standpoint.
Active lead in interviewing, hiring, training and performance appraisals of employees.
Manage any escalation of technical issues during internal development.
Ensure teams are following all Magna internal processes for development, gate review and feature readiness level.
Work with Program Managers to ensure timely release of quote response (effort, material, capital, tooling, etc.) for Taiwan development programs.
Ensure compliance to Company procedures (e.g. Process - Work Instructions) and applicable standards.
Provide strong technical support to our global sales team for technical presentations of technologies being developed by the Taiwan Team.
Knowledge and Education
Bachelor degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or similar
Master’s Degree or PhD preferred
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the automotive industry (or combination of automotive closely related technologies)
Ideal candidate would have 15 years of relevant experience delivering complex technical projects and in team management / coaching
Able to work effectively in a global environment with people from many cultures.
Able to lead, coach, and motivate a cross functional team
Able to clearly present technical topics internally and externally
Skills and Competencies
Comprehensive knowledge of product development and engineering practices in the automotive field.
Comprehensive working knowledge in structured engineering approaches
Comprehensive working knowledge of structured problem solving (8D)
Comprehensive working knowledge of configuration management, project planning, monitoring and control techniques.
Periodic travel (N.A., E.U.) is required for this position subject to project loading and customer response.
