About the role

Roku pioneered streaming to the TV and continues to innovate and lead the industry. While we are well-positioned to help shape the future of television and streaming media worldwide, continued success stems from our ability to find, engage, and hire the best technical talent from around the world.

We continue to grow in to new markets, with a strong focus on the APAC region. We have Engineering hubs in Taiwan, Korea and China, and are looking for a Tech Recruiting Manager to develop and lead the regional recruiting function for Technology, based out of Taiwan.

In this role, you will be a critical part of Roku’s ongoing growth and evolution as we continue to pioneer the streaming industry.

This will entail developing and leading the recruiting strategy for the region, including the development of our brand and go to market strategies.

At the same time, you will be responsible for coaching and developing our recruiting staff and designing, implementing and optimizing selection processes focused on meeting business unit and corporate objectives.

We are looking for someone with a proven track record in a growth environment, that uses innovative and effective approaches to recruiting and hiring execution resulting in clear, measurable business impact.

This role will report to our Senior Manager, Technical Recruiting EMEA / APAC and will be located in Hsinchu, Taiwan (can work remotely until it’s safe to return to our offices).

What you’ll be doing

  • Leveraging your experience to engage and partner with leadership on their growth strategies across Engineering functions to ensure we attract and recruit the best talent in the market
  • Build, lead, develop and coach a team of sourcers and recruiters based in Taiwan, Korea and China
  • Work closely with our brand and leadership teams to establish Roku as an employer of choice in the region
  • Build and establish effective ways of working, meeting global standards, whilst being locally relevant
  • Understand data associated with hiring success and provide KPIs to leadership to help them track their hiring performance
  • Working with APAC and Global TA teams to identify cross regional solutions for our business challenges
  • Develop collaborative partnerships with HRBPs, Finance, business leaders and other key stakeholders
  • Enhance and reinforce a collaborative, engaged, team-oriented environment with a focus on results
  • Foster innovation in the customer experience by combining functional and operational knowledge in domains that relate to Recruiting and Onboarding.
  • Qualified candidates should have

  • Extensive experience in full-cycle recruiting, with a focus on hiring for technical positions and a minimum of 3 years in a recruiting leadership role
  • Open, transparent leadership style with an emphasis on mentorship and developing alignment across the organization
  • A collaborative approach to working - we are a matrix organisation, and we partner across multiple teams to ensure success
  • Great organisational and problem-solving skills; able to manage several programs / priorities simultaneously
  • Must exhibit flexibility under pressure and demonstrated ability to produce results
