Job Summary (General Responsibilities) :
As Technical Lead of Software Engineering, you will lead a team of engineers to develop software systems that includes iOS, Android, Cloud development.
In addition to leading the team, you will be hands-on developer and will be responsible for day-to-day technical management of your team.
You will work in conjunction with other engineering cross functional teams to perform analysis of requirements, create design documents, resolve technical hurdles, and lead the team to complete assign tasks on-
time. Must be able to work creatively, collaboratively, and iteratively across teams to create optimal software and user experiences.
Specific responsibilities include :
Oversee software engineers working with team on various projects
Working with a creative team of User Experience designers, Visual Designers, and Product Managers to define the visual and behavioral requirements for new user interfaces
Research technologies and present findings with recommendation for integration into team technical strategy.
Utilizing Android, iOS and Web tools and technologies, develop world-class user interfaces and integrate new user interface controls
Implement non-functional requirements for the user interfaces and controls to support a variety of platforms, dimensions, resolutions and languages
Debug Using emulators, analyzers and simulators and similar tools.
Work with software engineering peers to integrate these user interfaces into the main applications, ensuring data integrity and high performance
Work on iOS and Android Hybrid platform focusing on the WeMo application
Worked closely with Cloud, Firmware and QA engineers to implement the API, ensure data integrity and maintain suitable performance.
Document software designs and code with specifications and source code comments.

Education and Experience Requirements :
Working knowledge of iOS and Android IDEs, Swift, Java, XML and user interface frameworks
BS Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
Worked closely with User Experience and Visual designers to translate their visual ideas into real life user interfaces
Demonstrated great communication skills; Build rapport and credibility with your team
Extremely proficient in cross platform (phone & tablet) UI development and testing; able to build a highly interactive interface that works flawlessly on Android mobile platforms
8+ years of prior development experience in developing mobile apps that are heavy on rich and dynamic user experiences
2+ years of leading junior software team members in rapid software development environment
Passion for high quality design and for products that are both usable and cool able to work efficiently alongside both design and development teams
