About Role :
As part of the HPC server team, this senior layout engineer is expected towork with peer functions as a team to development the leading edge Lenovo highperformance computer offerings.
The Layout Engineer is responsible fortranslating designs into physical implementations by applying knowledge offabrication processes to create design drawings, specifications, and softwaretools.
Our cutting edge designs have grown increasingly complex, and do notconform to the assumptions typically made by standard lithography tools, so agreat deal of creativity and ingenuity is required to convert a design intosomething physically realizable.
This individual will collaborate with designengineers, process engineers, and software tool developers to maximallyleverage our process capabilities.
You will also assist in the automation ofprocesses where possible, developing software algorithms to perform patterngeneration, layout, and design rule checking.
Translate designs into large, high data density layouts with complexgeometries
Interface with vendors to ensure the designs are made accurately
Further develop and extend existing layout tools to improve data and timeefficiency and to handle new types of designs
Develop error checking capabilities in the custom data generation software
Interface with downstream internal customers to ensure that their requirementsare included and addressed in designs and layouts
Plan and execute PCB layouts to meet schedules
Position Requirements : Minimum Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications : Python programming
Producing mechanical drawings
Extensive experience working with DXF formats.
Extensive experience working with GDS, MEBES, or OASIS formats.
Minimum 5 years of experience for server development, 2 socket and abovesystems preferred.
