As an Engineer-Technical support, you will be responsible for ensuring the Service portfolio is delivered effectively according to ABB standard, processes and stand within the safety guidelines not only to satisfy customers but also for the future growth, in Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

Reporting to the Manager-Technical Support, you will support customer and others ABB units / sales teams ensuring customer needs are understood and business opportunities utilized for service growth.

Your responsibilities

  • Complying to Global / local service strategy to growth and supporting the service businesses is the main functional roles for all
  • Providing technical consulting and specialist assistance on product and service solutions to management and customers by giving relevant inputs on customer requirements and proposed service products / solutions
  • Determining effective solution, service applications, equipment and methods to develop, market or manufacture new Service offerings to respond to customer requirements cost effectively
  • Evaluating the breakdown condition, identifying new sales opportunities, proactively communicating both with the customer and ABB sales teams to ensure customer needs are met and business opportunities utilized for Service growth
  • Coordinating and performing specialist Service projects in relevant areas internally and externally (e.g. milestones, project plan, cost supervision, action steps, project reviews, project supervision) including all commercials
  • Providing technical specialist support and coordination for the Service team. Planning activities, coordinating the work of internal and external technicians and assigning them specific tasks related to Service needs
  • Applying safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities. Reporting unsafe practices and incidents
  • Your background

  • 1 to 5 years of experience in service line where related to machinery, preferable with automation
  • Sound knowledge of service portfolio
  • Strong customer focus and leadership capabilities
  • A degree or diploma in an engineering field
  • Must be result-oriented with good communication skills
