On April 14, 1981, in Honolulu, Hawaii, William Bill Melton incorporated his new tech company. The original intention was to provide a recourse for retailers who’d been swindled by people handing out bad checks.
Bill's product was a kind of verification device using phone lines a verification phone.
But then a pivot. The credit card industry was relatively new at the time and processing was still being done with carbon paper.

Human Resources Manager-Greater China
The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for the Greater China area- Hong Kong, Taiwan and China.
Your Essential Responsibilities :
The key deliverables for the role are to implement and administer HR strategy, practices, employee policy and initiativesacross GreaterChina region in line with regional and global guidelines and objectives.
Responsible for ensuring the seamless, accurate and professional delivery of all HR transactional services (including HR admin) across multiple sites and stakeholders across China, Hong Kong and Taiwan and improving or streamlining processes wherever possible.
Drive better practice wherever possible through outsourcing, leveraging technology, partnering with providers and the regional / global HR teams internally.
Provide high-quality advice and service to management on daily employee relations and performance management issues.
Review and / or create country specific policies and guidelines in line with regional policy.
In conjunction with the leadership team and managers,drive operational efficiency, effectiveness and productivity acrossChina, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Manage HR outsourced activities to achieve business objectives, whilst ensuring compliance with local law.
Lead local employee communication to desired business outcomes.
Serve as ambassador to business on organisation culture and advise and manage employee engagement by recommending and implementing actions as agreed.
Work with managers to build people skills and capabilities with a view to increasing self-service (efficiency) and effectiveness.
Partner closely with HR Product (COEs) teams (ie. Recruitment, HR Operations, C&B, L&OD) to ensure flawless delivery of day to day work and broader initiatives.
Identify ways to improve policies and procedures

Your Knowledge and Experience :
The successful candidate must have significant years of Human Resource experience, ideally in the Technology industry.
Experience working in a Shared Service Center environment a must have
Site governance experience is needed for the role
Experience working in the Payments Industry is a plus.
Strong understanding of local HR legislation and labor laws and proactively stays on top of changes and developments
Experienced partnering with remote stakeholders across multiple office sites
Proven ability to learn and adapt to industry practices and company policies and procedures.
Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills to interact with all levels of an organization
Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
Demonstrated solid judgment and creativity in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Proficiency with PCs and common software applications
Ability to work independently on a daily basis with minimal supervision.
