As a Global FacilitiesTechnology Team Bulk and Specialty Gas Systems Engineer at MicronTechnology, Inc., you will be responsible to provide high qualityengineering services and specifications for the planning, design,construction, operation, and maintenance of your disciplinespecific Facilities systems in support of semiconductormanufacturing across the Micron Global Manufacturing Network.
Youwill participate in capacity and scenario planning across thenetwork and evaluate impact of changes. In this role, you willsupport the Facilities Teams and Manufacturing sites across thenetwork as a Subject Matter Expert through all phases of design,construction, installation, start-
up, operations and maintenanceand will ensure environmental, safety, regulatory, and codecompliance. Responsibilities andTasks
Designand Plan Systems andBuildings
Providesystem designs for safe operations andmaintenance
Develop, review, and maintain theequipment and component specifications and standards for thecorporation.
Ensure designs comply with allapplicable standards, codes, andregulations
Reviewing of the capacity planningdatabases (with Base Build capacities, POC assignments, and actualfield conditions) across the network and validating utilization anddiversity factor assumptions.
Review and advisesites on periodic system status presentations (system capacity,actual load, and projected loads based on all approved scenarios,key system accomplishments, andchallenges / issues)
Assist sites with theevaluate system and distribution capacity impacts based on scenariochanges as requested.
Reviewing and advising onscope for facilities infrastructure additions ormodifications
ProvideMicron specifications and standards to Design Firms and reviewingdetailed designs and specifications for the installation of newfacilities infrastructure
Provide support forcost and schedule estimates and justification forapproval
Provide supervision and coordinationof consultant resources required
Ensureappropriate communication with local facilities, Design,Construction, Procurement and manufacturing stakeholders asrequired to deliver project objectives anddeliverables.
Be responsible for the timelyreview of design packages and providing documented comments andfeedback as necessary.
Work with appropriatepersonnel to address problems or makecorrections
Ensure that scope meets requestorneeds
Ensure change management procedures arefollowed.
Monitor progress and provideengineering and design support during construction as required perproject ifnecessary.
ProvideTechnical Support, Leadership, andExpertise
Provideconsultation and support to Operations and Maintenance andManufacturing as Technical Discipline Subject MatterExpert
Analyze system designs to identifyimprovements that will result in better performance, efficiencygains, reduced maintenance, and costsavings
Support sites with problem analysisusing standard tools and methodologies asrequested.
Provide Technical leadership andsupport to Procurement group on vendor qualifications, VendorSelection and negotiations as needed.
Conductrisk and failure mode and effectsanalysis
Eliminate single points of failure andmitigate risk
Benchmark within and external toMicron sites on engineering and design BKMs of Facilities buildingsand systems
Own and maintain of CorporateFacility of Record (FOR) Standards for yourdiscipline.
Maintain leading edge applicabledomain knowledge (chemical theory, instrumentation control theory,high purity principles, etc.)
Maintainequipment support knowledge (reaction modes / mechanisms, hazardprotocol, leak detection,etc.)
Bachelor’sDegree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering required,Master’s Degree desired.
Minimum10-year experience in High Purity Bulk and / or SpecialtyGas
Ability to prioritize and schedule workloadand work on multiple tasks concurrently
Goodorganizational skills and Serviceattitude
Excellent communication skills andgood team working skills, EnglishRequired
Familiarity with semiconductormanufacturing and facilities systems
Ability totravel internationally up to 75% of thetime
