Media / News team is responsible for developing Yahoo TW News content programming & editorial works. We present the daily news to millions of users in different devices, working with around 1 hundred of content partners to providing daily news, picking up the news what we think the most important which users should know, and setting the agenda to shape Yahoo Media voice.
Along with Mobile, Social and Video trend, we continue to try and change the operation models in editors’ working approaches, partnership, product features, and content formats.
Understanding users’ behavior insight in PC / Mobile, distributing the content via FB / other social media, planning the content in Video format are very important tasks in our daily operation, especial in the fast change and high competition environment.
News is one of top 5 Yahoo TW products in term of traffic and revenue. Except with content developing and operation, we also work closely with Product, Marketing, BD and Sales team together, to serve our users and advertisers.
A Lot About You
We need a professional editor that who can overcome all the daily mass of information, and find the key news from various fields or views, and who also has a keen sensitivity for domestic and international major news issues, and with text editor, subscript, planning, and other editing capabilities that attracts readers.
And because the news topics are often have different perspectives, high complexity, knowing how to use editing capabilities, such as images, animation or information charts, with a simple and easy way to understand the complex story, and will allow mobile phone users gain trust, such as Yahoo APP and Mobile Web content.
In addition, we also hope that Yahoo APP and Mobile Web content is not only seen in the Yahoo station, but can also be spread out through the community (Facebook, LINE).
Therefore, we need an individual who is familiar with community media applications, is willing to study algorithms, and release the news at the right time in the right manner.

Support and decide the news of the day on Yahoo, and app, including everything from curation of content, headline writing, video programming, social distribution, app distribution and more
Manage breaking news coverage and assignments.
Help lead coverage plans for tentpole events across a variety of content categories, including News, Entertainment, Sports and more
Support and lead special projects associated with development and growth, which includes collaborating with editorial, product, engineering and analytics teams
Closely track metrics and analytics of content to stay abreast of evolving interests across our ecosystem
You Must Have
At least 5 or more years of editorial experience, preferably working on high-traffic websites
Familiarity and experience with complex web content management systems, information architecture, SEM / SEO tools, faceted classification and metadata
Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities with excellent accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including early mornings, late nights, holidays and weekends when needed.
