The Local Engagement Lead will be part of the department Operations Portfolio Management
OPM) but is located in the local Taiwan ASML organization.
OPM is part of Operations Strategies and Excellence (OSE) which is a department within ASML Operations reporting into the ASML COO.
ASML Operations consists of factories in Veldhoven (2), Taiwan and USA (2), and other sectors as Supply Chain Management, Customer Support, Central Planning and Facilities Management.
OPM is responsible for the definition and execution of the non-product (non-PGP) related program & project portfolio of ASML Operations.
The Operations portfolio contains a number of primarily cross sector and IT related major improvement projects and programs
The OPM department has the mission to enable worldwide operational excellence for ASML by driving and realizing the ASML Operations portfolio of non-product related programs.
Overall responsibility of the Local Engagement Lead is to bridge the gap between on the one hand the Veldhoven centralized definition and execution of the programs & projects on the Non-
PGP Operations Portfolio and on the other the ASML worldwide local organizations
Specifically the Local Engagement Lead :
Works closely with and focuses on the local field / end users; collect, interpret and analyze information to optimize the insights of development and implementation, through start of awareness, requirements, feedback & progress, till adoption
Liaises, aligns with & supports the OPM team on executing all OPM activities directly from the
GEMBA site with assurance of GEMBA support; avoid crashing on business calendar.
Act as (local) consultant on project activities with the Program / Project Team
Enhance local awareness of the OPS strategies / priorities in local (field) operation; trigger early
awareness of Ops Portfolio execution
Assesses site readiness for Ops Portfolio deployment and prepare local organization for deliverable adoption
Enables, supports and challenges Program / Project team in their delivery vs the realistic situation in the field; support the OPM team directly from the GEMBA site with assurance of GEMBA support
Ensures sufficient resources in the field to support Ops Portfolio execution
Liaises, aligns, supports with country capacity planner on potential local resource need re. OPM effort
Builds and maintains a network of internal stakeholders cross sectors in the local setting and
represent the organization : obtain a sustainable and assessible (change agent) network
Reports to and enhances local awareness local country management on OPS
Portfolio status : including portfolio definition status (strategy, BIP and OPS Roadmap decisions), as well as execution status (e.g. program plans, roll-out)
Interfaces with both local management as Program / Project management for project communication (kick-off, progressing, risk impact analysis) and engagement (all stakeholder level)
Pro-actively reaches out to users / stakeholders reporting on Programs / Projects status
Bachelor degree or above
We are looking for an experienced Local Engagement Lead who :
Has at least 5-10 years of work experienceHas knowledge and experience in the area of field operation and preferably in the areas of project management & implementation, change management and / or Lean principlesCan as functional expert act as mentor or coach within a local setting
Able to execute, support or formulate an operational plan,Able to act proactively to end user and project / program management needs and to give / make advice and proposals
Able to act as spider in the web answering questions on course of action and providing solutionsIs at ease in working in a pure customer environment (users)Is at ease in working in a virtual working environment
Has experience in working in a mutli-tasking and holistic / dynamic work tasks

Good knowledge of both local and English language

This is a fulltime fix position for 40 hours per week
Position is located in Taiwan, Frequent intra Taiwan travel needed (covering all ASML sites), Regular international travel needed.
