Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays ( LCDs ) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

Position Description

  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  • Active Directory Administration
  • Actively maintain assigned tickets according to processes and using Service tracking ticketing system
  • Assist with implementation of new solutions or upgrades to existing solutions including communications, documentation and training
  • Follows all company policies and documented processes
  • Work in shifts
  • Project interaction / participation
  • Other Operational work as required
  • Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Relevant work experience in a corporate technical customer service environment
  • Required Skills

  • Advanced Level of Chinese and English
  • Application knowledge in the areas of Microsoft Office suites Troubleshooting and Installing
  • Operating Systems knowledge Windows family Troubleshooting and Installing
  • General hardware and software knowledge in the areas of Personal Computers
  • Desired Skills

  • 3-5 years of related IT customer support experience
  • General knowledge about mobile devices and their operating systems, applications
  • Manufacturing systems experience
  • Familiarity with emerging technology suite
  • Soft Skills

  • Good teamwork, written and oral communication in English and customer service skills. Needs to be a self-starter and able to work independently
  • Excellent cross-cultural communications, interpersonal and influencing skills
