PRIMARY FUNCTION / OBJECTIVE
The Brand IT Specialists are individual contributors to the development, maintenance and enhancement of business applications, providing specialized technical or business knowledge to system projects.
The position has the responsibility for the management of applications and data residing in the application.
The Brand IT Specialist maintains the application’s data and monitor performance and accessibility. The position will be instrumental in the development, identification and implementation of system modifications that will improve productivity within the system(s).
Develop and implement integrated process and business system initiatives. Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures, which are cost effective and meet user requirements.
Engage and partner with Global and Area IT organizations to influence and implement a broad IT strategy, providing affiliate input in the formulation and revision of the global and area IT strategy and adopting, implementing and localizing global / regional strategies applicable to the affiliate including technology options for digital solution, MCM enablement and Infield Team Excellence.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Brand IT Specialist will play a role in the creation, delivery, and monitoring of Affiliate Commercial Solutions. These are local solutions designed for our external stakeholders, mainly in partnership with the In- Field Teams, Brand Teams and Medical functions etc. This will entail :
Responding to questions and influences the users regarding current and potential system inputs, processes, and outputs.
Conducts research and analysis into the nature, effect and results of system problems. Develops detailed business user requirements, system documentation, workflow procedures, and data modeling.
Negotiates plans, time frames and trade-offs while ensuring client understands the final results of the project.
Consults with functional areas to develop understanding of the varied and complex business needs supported by the system.
Responsible for determining how changing business needs will affect the system. Understands the role of the system in the big picture and provides ideas and recommendations regarding the evolution of the system.
Responds to questions and influences the users regarding current and potential system inputs, processes, and outputs. Conducts research and analysis into the nature, effect and results of system problems.
Develops detailed business user requirements, system documentation, workflow procedures, and data modeling. Negotiates plans, time frames and trade-offs while ensuring client understands the final results of the project.
Reviews and routes requested system changes and develops detailed specifications for implementation. Communicates system changes and issues to next level of management.
Ensures current and accurate system documentation, coordinates and or performs testing of system modifications, both validated and non-validated systems.
Provides systems expertise and supports system training, educational tools and materials.
Produces requirements for mainframe reports, timelines, and graphics using advanced functions of a personal computer. Creates reports from existing client databases to satisfy user requests, development of ad-hoc database reporting, data sampling, project analysis, or testing verification.
Monitors and audits the use of the systems; executes system control practices and purchasing procedures for regulatory and compliance.
Configure system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration, and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements
Identify and implement concepts, techniques, and standards that support the strategic objectives of the applicable group.
Collaborate with global / regional IT resources (Capability Towers) and cross functional leads and define business requirements related to technology.
Co-work with Customer Excellence (CEx) and Brand teams to support digital strategy execution
Maximize impact and usage of platforms / solutions (e.g. CRM, CLM, Analytics, apps, websites) by briefing teams on their value and collecting user feedback
Support Multi Channel Management and digital initiatives execution
Provide functional knowledge and maintain insight to current industry best practices and how they can be applied to AbbVie.
Ensure proper validation documentation is created for all projects (AbbVie Software Life Cycle Methodology / IT Compliance / Data Privacy).
Responsible for compliance with, and awareness in the affiliate of, applicable Corporate and local IT policies and procedures.
Primary contact for internal BTS audits.
Ensure that relationships with external parties are managed effectively and constructively, with the appropriate contractual considerations in place for AbbVie’s benefit.
Ensure that all projects are compliant with local regulatory frameworks and legal requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Administration / Marketing / Computer Science / Information Systems Degree
3-5 years of IT or related experience with B.A. or B.S.
General understanding of IT Infrastructure tools, technologies, concepts and nomenclature.
Detailed knowledge of system methodologies
