Scope of Position
The Market Intelligence and Analysis Manager is responsible for collecting and analyzing display value chain intelligence data.
Understand the implications to Corning and communicate to leadership for strategic and operational decisions.
To develop, enhance, and elevate ability of intelligence gathering and market sensing. Manage external industry contacts, data vendor and 3rd party consultant relations for data acquisition.
Develop internal models based on inputs from the market and draw conclusions of Corning implications.
Lead, manage and accomplish assignments around the following key areas :
o Clearly define Corning market position. Lead and drive consensus with inputs from various internal and external sources.
o Understand and analyze market dynamics. Organize cross functional discussions to develop and convey clearly defined business views with sound judgment and rationale.
o Lead process to understand key aspects of display value chain. Help management understand the impact to our business.
Participate in Display key business processes. Lead assignments that require insightful analyses, storyline packaging, and ground all analyses and observations to Corning implications with business recommendations.
Bachelor’s degree in economics / business or a science field
MBA with major in strategy, marketing or operations is a plus
Experience and Skills
Demonstrated leadership in managing project & people
Strong analytical, modeling skills and ability to manage complex market data
Strong ability to package storyline with logic and rationale and guide business decisions
Strong ability of senior management communications
Motivated in problem solving and a strong cross functional team player
Ability to multi-task, take initiative and handle urgent requests on short notice
Knowledge and experience in display industry and / or consulting background preferred
