Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays ( LCDs ) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel d esktop monitors.
Purpose of the Position
This role is part of Display Finance Ops team to support Display operations.
Day to Day Responsibilities
Financial Lead within the display supply management function. Provides ongoing Finance expertise and decision support to enable the achievement of goals and objectives.
Partners with display finance team resources for finance activities and project work within the scope of DSM processes.
Liaison between DSM and finance; AMC savings guideline / process / target setting.
Support DSM ad-hoc financial analysis / process improvement; AMC saving monthly verification; partner with DSM to deliver non-glass inventory reduction target;
non-glass inventory target setting / track / forecast process
Following up on the financial impact of key initiatives / projects and evaluate the results.
Performs ad hoc responsibilities in support of division finance manufacturing leadership team.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in finance / Accounting, master's degree preferred
8+ years working experience, manufacturing costing or audit firm experiences preferred
Fluency in English communication
Good interpersonal communication and presentation skills
Team player, willing to share knowledge and expertise
Ability to work under pressure and work independently
Proactive, open-minded, and passion for initiation
Ability to get insights from business and functional leaders
