Looking for a few experienced CTV Masters in Taiwan? Atlas Professionals in Singapore is always looking for new Offshore Marine professionals.
At the moment we have a vacancy for the position of Master - CTV.
Will operate from the harbour area of Budai (formerly known as Po-te-chhui)
As Master of the CTV, you will assume overall responsibility, command & control of navigation, manoeuvring, communications, maintenance and safety of crew and passengers.
Master will be responsible for safe transfer of wind farm technicians from CTV to wind farm turbines in compliance with various operation & safety procedures.
Master shall also ensure that the vessel complies with the Taiwan flag state policies, manage vessel & crew in accordance with rules and regulations and oversee search & rescue operations in the event of emergencies.
You will be required to work on shifts or such other working patterns onboard the vessel in compliance with vessel’s operational requirements and local regulations.
When the CTV is operating 12 hours or more a day, it will be moored overnight in the port and crew will be accommodated onboard the vessel.
You will be working on 3 months ON, 3 months OFF rotation cycle (This may vary according to requirements)
Communication with charterer’s marine Controller of the Offshore wind farm, obtain sailing instructions to various wind farm turbines and transfer wind farm technicians as per instructions from charterer’s marine Controller.
Work collaboratively with charterers and their representatives to ensure the highest level of service.
A proactive client interface is required.
Perform navigation of the CTV, docking operations to boat landing structures of wind turbines, cargo handling operations and other related operations in a safe and efficient way.
Enforce QHSE systems onboard in compliance with local & international rules, regulations and company policies.
Highlight non conformances and report near misses.
Develop emergency and damage control plans and handle emergency situations.
Documentation & paper work related to sailing, port controls and charterer’s operations.
Maintain logs, vessel certificates, documents and records required by relevant authorities, classification society & charterers.
Basic checks of engine and machinery with the support of Engineer or rest of the crew.
Any other duties as assigned.
Taiwanese or Taiwanese Permanent Residents preferred
Third Class Master Certificate or higher issued by Maritime Port Bureau of Taiwan.
Very good experience in small high speed vessel operations and excellent safety record.
Valid Global Maritime Distress & Safety System (GMDSS) General Operator’s Certificate.
Valid STCW 95 / 2010 Basic training certificates including but not limited toPersonal Survival TechniquesFire Prevention and Advance Fire FightingMedical First AidSecurity Awareness Training and Personal Safety & Social Responsibility.
Valid Seafarer Medical Certificate
Good command of spoken and written English & Mandarin
Strong Leadership, People Management & Communication Skills
Approved Engine Course (AEC) is preferred but not essential
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
