Monitors changes in pertinent laws and regulations in the country and whenever required makes suggestions for new or amendments of local policies, procedures or processes
Supports or drives local implementation of corporate compliance policies as released by Group Compliance (GRC)
Creates awareness and fosters compliant and ethical behaviour by employees through regular communication, training and education based on the company’s Code of Conduct
Operates a compliance program in the country in line with tasks, objectives and priorities as set by and aligned between Group Compliance (GRC) and Country Management
Acts as a subject matter expert and advisor to the business in compliance matters
Assists the local country organization in the design and implementation of an adequate framework of compliance processes and controls;
periodically reviews compliance control processes and makes proposals for process improvements.
In alignment with Group Compliance creates or assists in the creation of local compliance training programs and materials; conducts training
Ensures internal reporting and / or escalation of compliance matters in line with applicable policies and procedures
Assists in the assessment and resolution of cases of alleged non-compliance (evaluation, recommendation, investigation)
Assists with preparation and execution of compliance audit, information requests or inquiries by authorities or clients
Functional Skills and Knowledge
Good knowledge and understanding of corporate compliance and ethics programs
Prior experience in managing internal reviews or investigations
Personal integrity and excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing, to deal effectively with internal and external parties
A high level of independence, initiative, planning and good judgment
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues
Strong analytical and project management skills
Well organized and methodical and thorough approach to work
Experience / knowledge of pharmaceutical / healthcare industry is an advantage
