Job Responsibilities :

Work with product managers and suppliers in developing and defining the specifications for future battery and electronic drive products to meet project objectives

Review and validate suppliers & capabilities to meet requirements of SBC and project scope suitability

Close cooperation with project managers to deliver products within scope, budget, and quality requirements

Document design to facilitate interaction with other developers, manufacturing partners, QA, and product documentation authors

Provide technical expertise on compliance matters and ensure all products adhere to compliance requirements

Research advanced technologies and processes to support new project requirements.

Be responsible for quality and technical issues throughout development and mass production, providing root cause analysis with proposals for solutions and improvement.

Perform component selection through datasheet analysis and evaluation

Understanding of battery pack development, analysis, verification, and troubleshooting

Manage suppliers and internal Digital team to develop and maintain mobile applications that integrate with e-drive system

Act as the liaison between SBC and suppliers for all issues related to E-drive unit design, development, qualification, and approval & supporting apps.

Work with testing, compliance, suppliers and 3rd party contractors to ensure E-drive systems meet all defined performance metrics and certification requirements

Facilitate an environment supportive of continuous improvement for all E-drive system components, while ensuring product specification remain current

Maintain Development Project status & timeline in PLM systems

Ability to travel within Taiwan and internationally up to 40%

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study from an accredited university

5+ years of experience in an e-system engineering position

Experience in electrical design as it relates to electric drives, batteries, and / or consumer goods

Experience with lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, etc.

Experience managing several different suppliers and components to bring a product to mass production

Understanding of applicable industry testing requirements and best practices (ISO13849 / EN15194 / UL2849 / UN38.3 a plus)

Experience in embedded development in motor control / HMI / Battery integration with professional working experience in this area.

Experience with low-power / sleep and wake up modes design

Able to generate schematic layouts of entire electrical system

Experience with wire harness design, connectors, wire sizing and drawings

Familiar with firmware design and requirements

Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese
