Dell’s Special Vehicle Team (SVT), part of the Chief Technology Office in Dell Client Solution, is seeking a skilled Lead System Engineer with strong capabilities in system development.
SVT is responsible for delivering technology demonstrations, proof of concepts, and end-to-end products advancing Dell’s leadership.
This specialized team brings together experts in multiple development disciplines to introduce innovative solutions and advance technology development for our customers.
This individual contributor will help define System architecture and drive execution of new products with Dell ODM.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Help to define, and execute system architecture of highly integrated and complex systems and sub-systems.
Define component requirements based on system experience and performance requirements.
Act as a Technical liaison for all aspects of the project.
Acts as primary Techncial point of contact for ODM : coordinates Development and Test resources. Drives the initial triage, debug, and resolution of engineering defects.
Strong collaboration with internal teams and strategic partners to drive execution, dive deep in technical aspects, find solutions to problems.
Debug and support prototype designs
Help in driving innovation and advance technology development
Proven track record of end-to-end system development from conception to mass production (incl. architecture definition, design, production, support, de-bug, etc.).
Cross-functional knowledge of consumer electronics engineering development areas relation to user experience and industrial design.
System level design with strong capability / understanding of :
Modern computer architecture & design, and development cycles
Write and analyze design and architecture specifications
Failure and root cause analysis
Analyze prototype performance
Familiarity with design for high volume manufacturing
Specific extensive sub-system experience in any / all of the following (preferred) :
SoC architecture(s) and interfaces
User interface technologies (touch, pen, voice, Display, ..)
Computer subsystems (RF, Power, Battery, Thermal, EE-PCB / PCBA, BIOS / FW, OS )
Engineering discipline and rigor.
Individual Characteristics :
Strong English communication required verbal and written.Ability to present technical content and share information to key stakeholders.
Team player with strong collaboration across cross-functional teams, internal and external to the organization
Ability to develop a strong credibility with engineering teams.
Demonstrate creativity and adapt quickly with technical agility to high dynamic environments and new technical areas.
Enthusiastic, motivated and self-driven.Ability to work independently and manage deliverables.
10+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably EE).Master’s degree (preferred).
