Position Purpose

We are looking for a team leader to drive effective trade marketing initiatives with necessary resources support and help the organization to achieve business objective through cross-functional cooperation.

Responsibilities

A) Proactively drive and be responsible for trade strategy Connect the dots

  • Be responsible for planning & implementing business oriented trade strategy by enriching program tools (merchandising, planogram, national program etc.
  • and investment optimization to fit market needs and company commercial objectives. To achieve this, this person needs to closely work with

    o Marketing team to understand portfolio / brand strategy and consumer insights

    o Sales team to understand operation practice and tactics by different channel

    o Other back office functions (e.g. legal compliance )

  • Ensure the strategies / plans are consumer-centric & are effective with company strategy direction.
  • Ensure the team maintain high quality day-to-day operation and drive innovative and feasible tactics to timely react market & trade dynamic.
  • Be responsible for tracking, measuring and reviewing the investment in initiatives.
  • B) Intensive cross functional cooperation Work as one team

  • Have strong passion in driving cross-function initiatives.
  • Manage the process of each work stream with highly interactive cross-function communication and be responsible for the alignments.
  • C) Resource Management

  • Be responsible for tracking, measuring and reviewing the investment in initiatives.
  • Manage external vendor to ensure robust and punctual deliverables.
  • Budget planning and management
  • D) General Management

  • Share department administration work such as documentation and internal initiatives support. Report and update the status to line manager.
  • Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor degree or above
  • 5+ years relevant experience in FMCG Trade Marketing or Marketing / 2+ years managerial experience
  • Independent project management & budget planning experience
  • Strong communication skills and cross function work closely
  • Skills, Competencies & Languages

  • Fluent speaking & writing in English and Mandarin is a must.
  • Strong capability of understand brand / portfolio strategy and convert into effective trade strategy
  • Profound consumer-centric thinking logic
  • Solid concept of developing customized trade initiatives by channel / banner / district
  • Independently work on problem solving and turn it in to action plans
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
