Since many years ago, Mastercard has invested a lot to lead the market with our innovative products. As we don’t have Product Sales headcount in Taiwan, Business Development function needs to take care of all the new products that we’d like to roll out in the market to maintain our leading position.
Business Development function assists the development of sales pipeline by leveraging all the available resources, which requires coordination with Product Development team, Account Management team, and RHQ Business Development team to develop financial model and business cases on identified opportunities.
Focuses on industry vertical, and Non FI (Telco, Reward Platform, Micro Payment, Virtual Banking) field. Creates Mastercard business opportunity by exploring and understanding industry’s payment needs.
Participates in high-level and interactive conversations with key decision makers, and works with Account Managers on identifying sales opportunities of emergent / digital payment products such as MDES, P to P payment etc for existing customers.

Works closely with account teams in business review discussions, develops winning product CVPs and drives optimization of existing card portfolios in Asia Pacific by providing relevant consumer insights and product best practices.
Maximizes the use of Mastercard product platform assets and merchant alliances / partnerships to drive portfolio performance through collaboration with Regional Product Management and other cross-functional teams.
Analyzes market trends, dynamics, and competition in order to aware product management and come out go-to-market strategies.
Engages in idea generation for enhancements on existing products, concept validation, business case development, and in some instance financial modeling and improvement planning.
Provides ongoing planning & reporting updates to support development of product enhancements.
Conducts market development activities, drives market preparation activities, and translates marketing strategy and channel management approaches if appropriate to sales.
Liaises between regional and country teams to roll up local sales activities into a global view. Builds up the relationship with local regulator to engage Mastercard innovation solution into the market
All About You
Thorough knowledge of card and payments industry, with particular emphasis on industry vertical or Non FI (Telco, Reward Platform, Micro Payment related background are preferred).
Independent, self-motivated worker who’d thrived in a fast-paced environment and experience in operating with cross-functional teams.
Analytical and able to summarize complex information to deliver clear and compelling presentations.
Able to communicate actively and effectively with clients and company leadership.
Strong problem-solving skills and capable to manage multiple oversea projects and initiatives concurrently.
