Job Description : - this position shall support Varian newly acquired subsidiary in Taiwan, as well as the subsidiary’s existing BOT projects in Taiwan and potential BOT projects in mainland China in the future;
provide legal advice related to commercial transactions, bidding projects, corporate issues, unfair competition, anti-
trust, commercial bribery, promotion and advertisement of medical device, data privacy, labor cases, financial and tax issues, and etc.;
set up necessary local rules to enhance the internal management and decrease the potential legal risk;
review, create and approve all kinds of agreements, contracts and other legal documents for company’s daily operation;
control and manage POA issuance, distributor agreement execution, promotional material approval in accordance with company’s policies and process;
handle various kinds of disputes, arbitration and litigation cases, if any;
provide legal training to internal employees;
keep the management team informed of legislation and regulations update that might impact the company’s business;
deal with other legal matters, such as clinical trial, research or education grant, strategic cooperation project, new company establishment, etc.;
provide legal guidance and support to ensure all transactions and activities shall meet company’s legal, regulatory and compliance standards as well as the applicable laws and regulations;
manage the outside counsels within Taiwan;
handle other work assigned by Legal Director from time to time.
Around 8-10 years legal working experience, must have few years’ experience in medical industry, such as legal experience with HCP, hospital, medical institution and etc;
Pass bar exam;
Excellent English skill, can draft and revise English contract and other legal documents;
Conscientious and responsible, work independently with little supervision;
Prefer to have law firm working experience;
Better with BOT project experience but not a mandatory requirement.
