The Team :

We are seeking an Account Manager to join our Service Provider team! In this role, we are in need of a highly motivated, entrepreneurial minded sales professional who is looking to work with some of Cisco's largest service provider customers to bring new products and services to market.

As Cisco continues to make new investments, this role will work hand in hand with our corporate leads to help define new markets and business models to create new services and solutions with Cisco's service provider customers.

Role & Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and implement a coherent plan for accelerating the joint development of products and solutions with one of Cisco's largest Service Providers customers -
  • from ideation to product launch.

  • Engage in discussions with customer product development teams to understand requirements and challenges.
  • Research and evaluate market attractiveness, competitive landscape, and monetization models
  • Have the ability to deliver CXO-level business value and skills to build strong and enduring customer relationships with primary decision makers and influencers.
  • Experience orchestrating large extended teams, including product management, marketing, engineering, sales, channels, finance and legal teams to meet customer needs.
  • Strong negotiation skills to navigate price / value issues that result in a Win / Win philosophy.
  • Be a bold self-starter, able to work independently to develop and build mid-level and executive relationships, articulate Cisco product and business strategies, and create the demand for Cisco solutions.
  • Direct customer contact will comprise the major portion of this assignment with both the sales skills and technical knowledge to make presentations, lead customer discussions, and marshaling resources across Cisco to advance the sales process.
  • Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent is required along with a strong complementary technical and business knowledge to understand the customers' business drivers and how to align to Cisco solutions.
  • Previous experience with a Telco and / or Service Provider is preferred.
  • 3+ years of successful quota carrying sales experience handling a large strategic account while building and developing sales relationships with decision makers.
  • Comfort handling VP and CXO level relationships with ability to work down in the organization as needed
  • Motivation - self-motivation, creativity and a determination to reach goals and objectives with limited management intervention is critical to success
  • Strong communication skills - Excellent Communications skills with a variety of influence styles to handle cross-functional teams to solve customer business challenges and get results.
  • Be able to think creatively to overcome political or technical objections and have a commanding executive presence and strong listening skills to establish key relationships with the right executive decision makers.

  • Have strong understanding or be able to learn the business and technical aspects and processes associated with bringing to market service solution in a Service Provider environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of a process for running a sales territory, including forecasting, quota attainment, sales presentations, short term, mid-
  • term and long term opportunity management

  • Ability to travel.
