The Dow Chemical Company has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Polymerics Technology Leader in Electronics and Imaging / CMP Technology, located in Hsinchu, Taiwan.
We are opening this position to support our current and next generation technologies. This position will report to the CMP Engineering Science Leader.
Primary Responsibilities : The Polymerics Technology Leader will be responsible to manage and run the Polymerics Technology Improvement team in Hsinchu site and align the technology road map with Newark site in Delaware.
Overview of Responsibilities : The Polymerics Technology Leader guides the Hsinchu site’s Polymerics Technology team on the technology road map development and implements the Most Effective Technologies (MET) for CMP Technology to support manufacturing and capital projects through in-
depth understanding of the technology using good manufacturing and engineering principals. Beside the MET (also call BKM) development and implementation, the Technology Leader is accountable to improve the process safety, product quality and facility productivity which also cover the technical success of ALL products across all technology segment (cradle to grave).
So the incumbent requires essential CMP Polymerics Technology capability for problem-solving, process troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
Successful candidates will have good interpersonal skills, be proficient at asset strategy planning and execution and have more than 10 years’ experience in manufacturing processes Primary Responsibilities : The Technology Leader will :
Provide technical support for capital projects; provide technical support on the non- capital projects with Six Sigma mindset.
Drive the reduction of process variability and waste to improve product quality and process efficiency.
Identifies the improvement opportunities to increase process capacity, quality and reliability through the Plant Specific Technology Plan (PSTP).
Champion compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements
Develop improved process measurement and control strategies
Lead Improvement Engineers, mentor the site wide technology / manufacturing resource to support the talent development program.
Tactical Work Expectations :
Partners with global engineering partners to identify technology gaps, improvement opportunities, and project definitions
Validates improvement opportunities using global tools and assists in building the Plant Specific Technology Plan
Implements improvement projects in quality, process safety, and processes efficiency
Coaches plant personnel on Most Effective Technology
Identifies key measures using plant performance data analysis
Provides technical plant support in specialized areas including process simulation, modeling, risk analysis, and process optimization
Works with GTC on the site matching program strategy implementation.

Job Qualifications : Minimum requirements :
BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Required
Minimum 10 years of manufacturing experience
