Typical Work Tasks : You will coordinate the design process and secure the user experience across FLIR Test & Measurements portfolio.
If you are an UX-designer with a holistic approach to the whole product experience, then you will enjoy this responsibility.
Your primary role is to lead projects rather than to deliver the actual design work. You should keep the industrial design, user interface, packaging, and others all aligned with FLIR branding and industrial portfolio.
You will be a vital part of every step through the whole new product development process; from early user research & ideation to refinements of existing products.
Your responsibility is to secure and advocate the design intention from users’ perspectives. Some projects which will be driven by you from start to finish with a local team or design agency.
And some will be done in close collaborations with the core UX team located in Sweden. You will need to interact and negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders.
Although you will be working out of our Taipei R&D office, a quarterly travel to Sweden working with our core UX team is essential.
In this role, you will have rooms for growing and building the UX design platform, from which you can influence the new product design and shape out the future T&M vision.
Plan, Coordinate, and lead several ongoing design projects. Budget planning. Lead external design teams and agencies. Be the link between technology and design.
Secure and defend the design intention through the whole development process. Advocate the user needs and strive for best UX.
Sharp eye for details and have CMF and FFF focus (FFF fit, finish and function). Ensure and guard FLIR design / brand. Secure the implementation of the intended user experience through the whole products development process.
Answer, present, and report design development to senior executives. Education and Experience : Bachelor or Master degree in Industrial Design.
Have 10 years of equivalent work history. Can show previous and relevant work by attaching a portfolio to your application, this is a mandatory step to be considered in the selection process.
A thorough understanding of the design process and a passion for user driven product development. Someone that can shift from dealing with our finest CMF details to put focus on the bigger picture questions.
Accustomed to working with international design teams. Fluent in English.
