JOB PURPOSE :
Within the framework of Sanofi global business strategy, develop and implement a long-term medico-marketing & sales strategy which focuses resources on maximizing market share, sales and operating profitability of the franchise.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :
Deliver the financial objectives (sales, profitability) of the franchise.
Manage the development and implementation of sales & marketing plans for the franchise.
Focus on the success of the franchise, managing the product launch process through effective resource-allocation, maximizing product life-
cycles and ensuring portfolio optimization, knowing how to identify and prioritize resource needs and shift resources if necessary in line with the defined business strategy and plans.
Optimize cross-functional support needs in the organization, ensuring effective communication between direct reports, especially sales and marketing management and with the Regulatory and Medical teams.
Manage professional networks at all levels of the global, regional and country sales & marketing organizations.
Ensure professional marketing and sales effectiveness training support.
Supervise the organization of local marketing events for the franchise, building and maintaining relations with key opinion-
leaders at the country level
Establish appropriate marketing systems and procedures to ensure efficient operations and appropriate control, based on quality performance and commitment to deliver on-time.
Plan and control local marketing & sales investment, according to product priorities, ensuring cost-efficiency at all times.
Structure and develop a dynamic marketing & sales team for the franchise through an effective recruitment and selection process, aimed at enhancing Sanofi's image and competitively in the market;
within the organization provide a clear vision of the pharmaceutical environment and the context of Sanofi key therapeutic areas in the market.
Direct and manage all activities of the Business Unit team, ensuring that staff are properly coached, given the opportunity to develop and be continually motivated to handle the demands of their jobs and achieve their objectives.
Responsible for assessing the risk of own domain responsibility.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Involved in any such activities must comply with HSE policy.
JOB-HOLDER REQUIREMENTS : Education :
Scientific background (medicine, pharmacy) and / or business education with specialisation in Sales or Marketing.
Experience & knowledge :
Strong project management capabilities, working well with cross functions and cross geographies
Advanced analytical skills, able to do financial modeling and scenario forecasting.
Strong commercial background, led commercial operations / business development initiatives
Led strategic projects / company growth initiatives.
