A FAE manager is be able to lead a technically diverse team for all presale activities. Excellent customer interface, negotiation, communication, and planning skills are required.
He / she is able to lead and manage complex tasks to achieve timely completion consistent with program schedule and cost constraints.
He / she is a team-builder and sales-enabler and demonstrates high quality leadership skills.
A Taiwan FAE manager for DesignWare IP has co-ownership for the DesignWare IP business in Taiwan region. He / she manages FAE team to provide presale support to Taiwan sales team to meet business target and may assistance post-
sale support activities as a local representative. He / she works with sales and BU closely to plan and deploy FAE resource based on business need.
This opening is responsible for the Taiwan region and may provide necessary support to other areas in AP region.
This opening is a hands-on manager and will have ownership for specific accounts like an individual FAE, so he / she will be also responsible for :
1) Providing direct technical support to customers in presale stage to persuade customers to adopt Synopsys solution.
2) Working with the sales teams to manage the IP activities in the region to achieve a high customer satisfaction and for building strong customer relationships
3) Providing customer feedback on new / existing requirements for DW IP usage from DW IP customers to Synopsys
4) Providing direct technical customer support and assistance to enable customers to successfully use DW IP
A FAE manages the DW IP technical support requirements and needs for customers and for prospective customers. This role requires a FAE to work across the business unit and with other products to provide high quality support to the customers.
A FAE may write application notes, attend technical conferences and review projects and protocol specifications. A FAE provides technical guidance and support to the sales team during calls, meetings, and marketing events.
As a manager, he / she provides guidance to employees within the latitude of established company policies. Develops policies and procedures that affect immediate organization(s).
May advise senior management on specialized technical or business issues. Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Frequently interacts with senior internal personnel, functional peer group managers, and major customers, normally involving controversial matters between functional areas, other business units, or customers and the company.
Leads a cooperative effort among internal and external project teams.
Qualified applicants will have a BSEE, MSEE preferred, at least 5+ years relevant experience in ASIC / FPGA designs. Exposure to IP-
based SOC design and real tape-out experience are highly desired. 3+ years customer support and 3+ years people manager functions are preferred.
An understanding of system design and logic design using an HDL language, synthesis, simulation and verification CAD tools is important.
Hands on experience with DC or equivalent is important. The ability to conduct technical meetings, presentations, seminars, product demonstrations, and training to customers and to the sales team is required.
Experience for one or multiple I / O protocols, such as USB, DDR, PCIe, MIPI, SATA, HDMI, and Ethernet are preferred. Good written and verbal communication skills and problem solving skills are required.
Travel (up to 30%) within the Taiwan / AP region may be required.
